It's absolutely incredible and I loved it. It relates to dreams, premonitions, hallucinations, and in sanity. This demands a continuous alteration of the past, made possible by the system of thought which really embraces all the rest, and which is known in Newspeak as doublethink.

Seriously, if you want a good example of what a dictatorship looks like that controls the press, introduces lies and keeps the poor down with governmental decisions, look no further then this book. However, due to the fact that Winston barely remembers these events and due to the Party's manipulation of historical records, the continuity and accuracy of these events are unclear.

Why the fuck had I not read this book before? It is called a Cell phone for a reason.

The keyword here is blackwhite. At least the Party says so. It shows us everything that is wrong with our world, everything that has been wrong with it, and most importantly, everything that could go wrong in the future.

They are trying to destroy a vigorous democracy, and they know it will take much chaos and confusion to bring that democracy down. George has an uncanny ability to get to the base of the human psyche, at times suggesting that we need to be at war for many different reasons, whether it's at war with ourselves or with others. In addition to presenting the reader with a possible future that to most of us would seem like our worst nightmare, it has a philosophical core bound to enlighten just about anyone on a thing or two. Not long after, Syme disappears and no one acknowledges his absence.

Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. If you tell all, but secretly love, are you loyal?
